Founder of Rivers & Peonies Events

Mya Mills is the founder and lead planner of Rivers & Peonies Events, a wedding planning company dedicated to creating thoughtful, beautifully curated celebrations throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond. With a natural passion for creativity, design, and organization, Mya discovered her love for wedding planning while coordinating her sister's wedding. What began as a labor of love quickly revealed a deeper passion—not only for bringing a vision to life, but for providing couples with the confidence and peace of mind to fully enjoy one of the most meaningful seasons of their lives. Known for her collaborative approach, attention to detail, and calm presence, Mya works closely with couples and trusted vendors to create celebrations that feel authentic, seamless, and uniquely personal. She believes that wedding planning should be an exciting and enjoyable experience, and is committed to ensuring every detail is thoughtfully managed from beginning to end. Through Rivers & Peonies Events, she combines her love of timeless beauty, meaningful connection, and intentional design to create unforgettable celebrations that reflect each couple's unique story.

Every wedding begins with a conversation. During our discovery call, we'll get to know you, your love story, and the vision you have for your wedding day, allowing us to create a planning experience that feels authentically yours.

Once your proposal is accepted and your retainer is secured, you'll officially become a Rivers & Peonies couple. We'll send a welcome guide filled with next steps, important planning milestones, and helpful resources to begin bringing your wedding vision to life.

Every couple's journey is unique. Based on the level of service you've selected, we'll guide you through a personalized planning experience tailored to your vision, priorities, and needs, ensuring every detail comes together with intention and care.

When your wedding day arrives, our team will be there to thoughtfully manage every detail behind the scenes, allowing you to be fully present with your loved ones and savor each moment. While you celebrate, we'll ensure your vision unfolds beautifully, seamlessly, and exactly as you imagined.

Our Packages

  • Designed for couples who have handled most of the planning but want expert support during the final weeks before their wedding.

    Beginning eight weeks prior, we step in to review vendor contracts, finalize logistics, coordinate with all vendors, and create a comprehensive wedding-day timeline. This package includes unlimited email support, guest-flow planning, rehearsal coordination, setup and breakdown oversight, and up to 12 hours of wedding-day management to ensure a seamless and stress-free celebration.

  • Perfect for couples who want professional guidance throughout the planning process while remaining actively involved in the decision-making.

    This package includes monthly planning meetings, budget management, vendor sourcing and recommendations, design consultation, timeline development, and assistance with transportation and guest accommodations. We provide ongoing planning support, oversee final logistics, coordinate the rehearsal, and manage all wedding-day details to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience from start to finish.

  • A seamless, comprehensive planning experience from engagement through wedding weekend. Designed for couples who want expert guidance every step of the way.

    This package includes complete budget creation and management, venue selection assistance, curated vendor sourcing, custom design concept development, timeline planning, and rental coordination. We also focus on creating a thoughtful guest experience, manage all final logistics, coordinate the rehearsal, and oversee every detail on the wedding day, allowing you to fully enjoy your celebration with confidence and peace of mind.
